01 High On Fire - Burning Down
Oh doggy, Matt Pike returns with a rippin' new metal album Cometh The Storm. It comes out in late April 2024 jointly on the MNRK Heavy & SPV labels. This is the 9th album by the man from Sleep. B

02 The Melvins - Allergic To Food
This album comes out next week and promises to be full of all the janky chugging and noise that my brain needs to quiet the bad things. O)))

03 El Michels Affair and Lee Fields - Snakes
Short little number packed with soul, reverb, and tempo changes, what more could a person want? JC

04 John Coltrane - India
As he approached the pinnacle of jazz music Coltrane and his classic quartet (Elvin Jones/Drums, Jimmy Garrison/Bass, McCoy Tyner/Piano) recorded this track live at the Village Vanguard in New York City for the 1963 album Impressions for Rudy Van Gelder, Bob Thiele and Impulse Records. The rock band the The Byrds credit this song for inspiring their psychedelic pop master work Eight Miles High. B

05 The Get Busy Committee - My Little Razorblade
Being the dad that frequently volunteers to run the scoreboard and PA music for kids' hockey games means Spotify is a videogame for me, and the object of the game is to find bangers with a lot of drug and alcohol references that churchy west metro mom's won't recognize fast enough to complain about. O)))

06 Terminal Nation - Merchants Of Bloodshed
Arkansas death metal extraordinaire. First single from their forthcoming album "Echoes of the Devil's Den." These guys are the greatest. They sell band-branded deodorant at their merch table. O)))

07 Lee Van Cleef - Mano de Dios
Napoli based Lee Van Cleef with the Italian stoner sludge, honoring their adopted son Diego Maradona, I assume. JC

08 Cooper T - Original
A couple of bros from Manchester released this track on an EP in Summer 2023 that hits on all the modern styles of underground music. The guys are known as Kong & TMNMS. It was put out by Foundation Music, and was recommended to us by Jason Williamson of Sleaford Mods. Party on Jason. B

09 Unto Others - Dalmation
Gotta love a good goth-y slow jam about a dog telling a kid to kill people. Melodic Portland metal. Love it. O)))

10 Iggy Pop - Nightclubbing
After Ig's band the Stooges disintegrated into a box of horror in Southern California, David Bowie swept him up in 1977 and took him to France to create a wild solo debut album called The Idiot.
It was released by RCA records and in the nearly 50 years since it has become a masterpiece and a beacon of genius. B

11 Rosali - Slow Pain
From her new album Bite Down, which is really, really, really good. Everyone go buy it. JC

12 The Highwaymen - Sunday Morning Coming Down
Great songs like this make me hate modern country music so much. I love to interrupt shitty music at northern Wisconsin tavern Touch Tunes machines with any music from these dudes. JC
